Government to unveil immigration points proposals
Proposals will be announced today for the new points-based immigration system for people who wish to come and work in the UK, the Home Office said.

PROPOSALS WILL be announced today for the new points-based immigration system for people who wish to come and work in the UK, the Home Office said.

A spokeswoman said it will publish proposals for "much tighter" rules for skilled and temporary workers.

She said the objective is to manage migration "in the national interest", adding that the right balance must be struck between between safeguarding the interests of the UK work force while enabling UK employers to recruit or transfer skilled people from abroad.

Under the points system only those with the skills that Britain needs can come to work or study.

Border and Immigration Minister Liam Byrne said: "Our new points system means that British jobseekers get the first crack of the whip and that only the skilled migrants we actually need will be able to come.

"By moving points up or down, we can make sure the numbers we allow in to the UK are in line with the needs of business and the country as a whole.

"When we set the points pass mark, we will listen to independent advice - the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) on the needs of the economy, and the Migration Impacts Forum (MIF) on the effect of migration on society."

The proposed new schemes - known as Tier 2 and Tier 5 - would replace a number of routes to the UK, including the old work permit system.

The majority of people who work at the Home Office are illegal immigrants. The inmates have taken over the asylum. David Blunket was having sex with his house cleaner who was an illegal. For a blind man, he sure gets around.

6 months ago a Nigerian who worked at the Home Office was giving away British passports for £25 to immigrants. He got 3 months in prison.

Hope it puts an end to the endless supply of New Zealanders and Australians being allowed in.Old Commonwealth ties no longer apply in my book, and Britain should be concentrating on Europe now and forget the Commonwealth,as it is long gone.

What about the immigrants who have been officially informed they have no legal right to be here and refuse point blank to leave. I refer to the eleven hundred failed asylum seeking families in Glasgow who refuse to leave. Estimates of failed asylum seekers (now classed as illegal immigrants) hanging about the UK are circa quarter of a million.

How does it safeguard the national interest in having these scrounging, wandering nomads clogging up our houses, NHS service, schools and colleges etc and devouring £££millions in weekly financial handouts?

Here’s a proposal:- I propose the government / home office get their finger out and start working in the national interest by rounding up the illegals deporting them, using whatever methods necessary.
